Velocity Worldwide takes data protection very seriously and is committed to ensuring that any personal data that we may hold for you is safe.
We are aware that the UK’s decision to leave the European Union (EU) could have implications on data protection for all companies who work with data in the EU (whether we leave with or without a deal).
Our current policy in respect of any of our customers based in the EU is to retain any personal data which we receive from them (whether the data relates to their business or customers) within the EEA. To enable us to do this, our software is held in servers based in Dublin. This policy may need to change depending on the UK’s negotiations with the EU.
As with many aspects of Brexit, it is not as yet clear what position the UK will take in relation to the EU. However, since the UK’s data protection policy is enshrined in domestic law, we do not expect the conditions relating to the processing of personal data to change, nor do we expect the EU to stop the free flow of data between the UK and the rest of the EU.
We will be paying close attention to matters as they progress, particularly in relation to the likely impact on data protection and will update you with any changes which we may need to make to our data protection policies. In the meantime, we will continue to comply with our existing data protection policies.
If you have any questions relating to our data protection policies, please contact us by sending an email to: info@velocityww.com
