Client Services - Retail Marketing Executive

This is an exciting opportunity for a retail marketing professional who is passionate about digital marketing and customer engagement to join our growing client services team of highly talented, committed and well organised people working together in the pursuit of excellence in shopper engagement.

The Retail Marketing Executive role involves the day-to-day management of relationships with retailers’ marketing and management teams to deliver effective communication and marketing campaigns to drive sales and footfall at three UK shopping centres.

Core responsibilities

  1. Working alongside the agency account manager to deliver innovative marketing campaigns and bespoke initiatives to create customer loyalty and maximise dwell time, spend, and visitor footfall for three shopping centre accounts.
  2. Coordinate and facilitate promotional events and entertainment activities within the shopping centres with the ultimate goal of attracting new customers, promoting brand loyalty, creating theatre at the centre and driving retail sales.
  3. Contribute to tenant communications to include tenant newsletter, meetings, etc.
  4. Under the direction of the marketing agency, develop and manage an engaging content strategy to fuel the centre’s digital strategy, utilising channels such as the website, social media platforms, and Velocity’s data, personalisation and insights platform, Darius®.
  5. Work with retailers at site and head office level to ensure relevance and value in all marketing events and campaigns and assist in obtaining monthly sales figures and retailer trading comments.
  6. Ensuring that tactical marketing activity is responsive and timely, based around tenant requirements and in line with the various shopping centre’s strategic vision.
  7. Work with the marketing account manager on initiatives involving customers, community groups, local authorities, media partners and surrounding third parties.

Willingness to adopt a flexible approach to working patterns is essential in order to respond to the demands of a busy retailing and leisure environment. This position will involve occasional evening and weekend work to manage the marketing events as outlined in the centre marketing strategy.

Location: Working out of Velocity’s central London office with regular visits to the three shopping centre locations.
